Peer Gynt tale

This is an oral, listening and writing activity for 1st year students. After understanding the plot and listening to some parts from the Symphonic poem, some students are going to play parts  of the tale.

3º ESO BIOLOGY AND GEOLOGY UNIT 3: INTERACTION

TASTE AND SMELL TEST.

Students do a taste and smell test. They have to guess what they are tasting and smelling. In both experiments they are blindfolded. Firstly, they plug their noses and taste. Secondly, they smell.

Students taste: Lemon, Honey, Spicy sauce

Students smell: Oregan, Vinegar, Shoe

 

1º ESO BIOLOGY AND GEOLOGY.           UNIT 1 : THE UNIVERSE

INTERVIEW WITH A PLANET (WRITING, SPEAKING)

You are to work in groups of two people for this activity. The group must choose and read about one planet of their choice.

The roles of the two people are as follows:

  • Answer the questions with the information given in your book.
  • One person will be the planet being interviewed.
  • A second person will be the interviewer asking questions about the planet.

QUESTIONS:

  1. Which position from the sun – first, second etc – are you? How far are you from the Sun?
  1. After which Roman god were you named?
  1. How hot or cold are you?
  1. How long is your ‘day’?
  1. How long is your ‘year’?

6.Are you faster or slower than Earth when you orbit the sun?

7.What gases are in your atmosphere?

8.Do you have any moons? If so, how many?

9.What is your diameter?

As part of the Integrated Curriculum of Languages my   1º ESO students described a planet ; my 2º ESO students described  animals and 3º ESO described the benefits of  their  free time activities.
